Sorry I have been a bit absent from my blog lately. As a mum as well as a blogger, it’s hard to find balance between blogging and looking after a baby. Then when I do find the time, the ‘mum guilt’ starts to surface and I start to question myself
‘should I be writing this blog post or should I be doing the dishes?’
It seems there is always something ‘more important’ that I could/should be doing. Or at least that’s what I tell myself anyway. I think we can all agree that as a mum, the best time to get anything done is when your baby is sleeping which is what I used to do but recently Kory has decided that he doesn’t want to nap during the day anymore (even though he needs to! He’s so grouchy when he’s tired) so I have even less time than I did before to get anything that I need doing done. I’ve been trying to blog when he’s asleep for the night but by this point I’m way too tired myself.
I’m hoping this is just a phase that Kory is going through and that I can get back to blogging more frequently again soon. If not, I’m sure I will still be able to get back into the swing of things.
After all, isn’t multitasking what us mums do best?
Oh my goodness I relate to this 100%. My blog has suffered recently because I’ve just been so tired in the evenings! The last thing I want to do is rack my brain to think of something to write about! And my little one has decided that sleep is for the weak also. *sigh* but today he’s having a cracking nap, so fingers crossed I can actually get on with a blog post! (the dishes can wait…) x
