When I first found out I was pregnant, I was convinced I was having a girl. I am quite ‘girly’ myself in some ways and just couldn’t picture myself with a son.
But now that Kory is here, let me tell you, I couldn’t be happier!
I was once the girl who couldn’t ever picture herself with a son and now I’m the girl who feels like she wouldn’t have a clue what to do with a daughter!
I love being a boy mum!
I love how fun Kory is. He is so silly and so funny. It’s just the two of us a lot of the time but we always have a blast together.
When I found out I was pregnant with a boy, I imagined him being a ‘typical’ boy. Rough, ready, likes to play in the dirt and always on the move and that’s exactly Kory! If he falls off the couch, he just gets back up and gets back to having fun. If he sees an opportunity to get dirty, you just know he’s gonna take it.
Kory makes me laugh.
All. The. Time. He’s my very best friend.
From what I’ve heard, boys love their mamas. I’m sure daughters love their mama’s too but speaking from experience and from what i’ve heard, boys are a lot softer where as girls are a lot more independent. There is an extra special love between boys and their mums and let me tell you, I feel it. Kory always wants mummy cuddles, he stops whatever he’s doing just to come over and kiss me and he follows me wherever I go.
I love that he’s such a mummy’s boy and I feel silly for ever worrying that he might not have bonded with me.
I could go on and on all day about everything that I love about being a mum to a boy but I’m guessing you can probably see why I love being a boy mum so much.
It’s the best.
I feel the same way! So, so lucky to be a boy mum. He is so cute and cuddly and ALWAYS wants to be 5mm away from me at all times. Caelen’s cousin is a girl and she is much more independent than him. Way, way less cuddly – like, she has only fallen asleep on her parents twice. I knew I was going to have a boy the SECOND I found out that I was pregnant, so I would have been surprised as all heck if he turned out to be a girl. I can’t wait to have more babies. Hopefully, boys š

This is such a cute post! When I was pregnant with my first I was convinced he was a girl but nope, he was a boy! I was so happy, I’d always wanted a boy. He’s so loving and cuddly it’s great! I now have a daughter too and she’s not so cuddly. Little miss independent. She’s going to be a little tomboy I think. X

Aw that’s so cute! Whenever i used to picture my future daughter, I always pictured her being a girly girl but now when I picture her (that’s if I ever have a daughter) I too can see her being a tom boy and looking up to her older brother! Which I’m fine with š

After I had my son I really wanted a girl, I was seeing all these gorgeous girl clothes. So many dresses! I was so happy when I found out I get to buy these dresses! I’m making the most of it because I have a feeling as she gets older she’s not going to want to wear these dresses or be a girly girl! If you do ever get your daughter make the most of the girly girl things while she is still a baby and doesn’t have a choice š

I’m feeling this with my boy. I have a 10 and a 3 year old girl and a 20month boy. He is so so different. It’s so nice the girls are so dramatic and he’s so mellow and laid back in a lot of ways. Just like his dad. But wild and typical boy in other ways. Xx

I haven’t got a daughter to compare to but everyone, like yourself, seems to say the same about girls and boys and how different they are. That sounds just like Kory, is so soft when he wants cuddles from me but then in other ways he is such a typical boy xx
