As a stay at home mum and a bit of a homebody, I spend a lot of time at home with Kory. So it’s good that we love it!
This is our first proper house. It might not look like something you’d see out of a magazine but it’s where we started our family together, it’s where we’ve raised our first child and where we’ve made so many memories. Even though sometimes I might think ‘wouldn’t it be nice to have a bigger house, a bigger garden, a bigger living room’ ect, this house feels like home to me and that’s all I’ve ever wanted. Somewhere that feels like home and somewhere to start and raise a family with the one I love.
Some days I find myself feeling like I need to get out of the house, especially on a day when Kory is driving me up the wall. Just craving to go out somewhere, to do something different, even if it’s just a walk, just for a change of pace so that I don’t go insane but afterwards, no matter where we’ve been or what we’ve done, I’m always happy to come home.
I don’t need a big, flashy house to be happy. I’ve already got everything I could ever need. I see our house as sort of a blank canvas, at least that’s what it was anyway, but we’ve made it our own, not just with material things but with the memories we’ve made and share here.
For me, there’s no place like home.
