Merry Christmas!

I’m sorry this post is a little late. Christmas Day is always a busy one for us and I just didn’t have a minute to write this blog post!

Yesterday we had the best Christmas. Kory woke in the morning and we was just so excited to take him downstairs! We couldn’t wait! Every year as we’re walking down the stairs we always say to Kory ‘Has he been?! Let’s see if Father Christmas has been to Kory’s house!’ And this year he was looking around and as soon as he seen the tree and all of the presents he excitedly shouted ‘presents!!! Father Christmas bring Kory presents!’ Just seeing Kory’s face when he came downstairs on Christmas morning was enough to make my entire day.

That morning at home we all sat around the Christmas tree opening our presents with Christmas music playing in the background and in that moment I had never felt more touched by all of the gifts that Kory and us received and grateful for the people in our lives. We had all been well and truly spoilt rotten by our family and friends and each other and Kory had the best day playing with his new toys!

Later that day we all headed to my Nan and grandad’s house for Christmas dinner where we exchanged even more gifts! Our christmas dinner was delicious as it is every year and it was nice being all together. That saying I’ve heard before is definitely true… ‘That it’s not what’s under the tree at Christmas that matters but who’s around it’ because as nice as gift giving and receiving is, for me there’s nothing better than being surrounded by my family and good food, just talking and laughing and every year at Christmas I’m always reminded of just how lucky we are to have the family and friends that we have.

Today is Boxing Day and Boxing Day for us means staying at home in our pyjamas and playing with Kory and his toys all day. So I’m just popping by to wish you all a very Merry Christmas. I hope you and your families all had a lovely day yesterday.
