Yesterday, Friday the 14th of December was Christmas Jumper Day. While it’s fun and festive, the reason behind Christmas Jumper Day is to raise money and awareness for children who are in need. Yesterday thousands of people all over the UK put on their Christmas jumpers for this great cause. Us included.
Christmas Jumper Day was created 6 years ago by Save the Children in 2012. If you’ve missed out this year – not to worry. Christmas Jumper Day always takes place on a Friday in December each year and while Save the Children have specified a date for Christmas Jumper Day, you can raise money for this great cause by wearing your Christmas jumper on any day you wish to.
The simplest way to get involved with Christmas Jumper Day is to wear festive knitwear and donate some money towards Save the Children. Whether you join in at home, work, at school, with family and friends or alone, the idea is that you all wear your most festive Christmas jumpers and donate £2 each. If you wanted to you could also set up a fundraising page online to raise even more money. If you’d like to know more information on how you can help raise money on Christmas Jumper Day, the charity has provided an online fundraising pack with everything you need to know. Here is the link:

Me and Kory wore our Christmas jumpers with pride yesterday on Christmas Jumper Day and donated to the charity. Did you wear your Christmas jumper for Christmas Jumper Day? If so, what’s yours like? Let me know in the comments!
